Job Summary:

In this role you will focus on designing and developing data-driven reports and insights that advance business strategy. Responsibilities include developing processes for aggregating and analyzing data; evaluating data to identify patterns, opportunities, and issues for use in data-driven decision-making; leaders across the bank to understand requirements and design reporting and analytical solutions for data and presentations that lay business users can access and navigate with ease. This role will focus on program and portfolio reporting, analytics and improving efficiencies and automation of our reporting.

Develop and maintain the consultative relationships with key business stakeholders, proactively identifying and addressing BI needs to meet business needs, along with regulatory and compliance requirements

Perform data preparation work (e.g., source, scrub, mine, and integrate relevant data sources) needed for the delivery of BI and data visualization solutions

Lead proof of concept projects to test and adopt emerging BI and/or advanced data visualization tools

Own the delivery of BI reporting and dashboards from start to finish

Contribute to defining, designing, implementing, and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational efficiency

Convert ideas and business needs into meaningful report/dashboard designs and data requirements

Partner with business stakeholders to streamline and automate existing reporting, crucial for meeting regulatory and compliance requirements

Support the development of a change management process that facilitates the ability for business leaders to propose and debate new metrics or metric modifications per business needs

Support the development of a standard process on defining data requirements, managing governance, creating BI reports and dashboards for use throughout the organization

Identify new approaches to complex design problems related to BI and advanced data visualization


Undergraduate degree in statistics, operations research, data science, computer science, or in a science, technology, engineering and/or math (STEM) discipline

Masters' degree preferred

6-8 years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale business intelligence (BI) and data visualization programs

6-8 years experience working with structured query language (SQL) database development, SQL queries, data structures, stored procedure, SQL Server Integration Systems (SSIS), extract transform load (ETL), application programming interface (API) architecture, and microservices

Experience in highly distributed complex business and technology environments

Ability to translate complex technical designs and terminologies into simplified business language

Experience with enterprise dashboard and reporting platforms (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) with large data sets

Experience in wide range of analytics, BI, and big data technologies

Experience in metadata process, data lineage, and traceability repositories and technologies

Familiarity with delivering data solutions and architecture using Amazon Web Services (AWS) services like Kinesis, Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Map Reduce (EMR), Spark, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, Relational Database Service (RDS), DynamoDB, Glue Catalog, and Athena preferred

Familiarity with data architecture, data integration, data governance, and data lineage concepts

Experience working in Agile environments

Exposure to Hadoop or other big data and cloud computing technology is a plus

Experience with:

Data Integration: SQL; NoSQL(Hadoop, Casandra); Alteryx, Trifacta

Business Intelligence/Reporting Tools: Tableau, Power BI, Excel, JMP, SAS, Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS), Cognos

Databases: Access, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2

Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities that require superior project management and decision-making capabilities

Strong communication and persuasion skills; ability to create messaging materials that meet stakeholder preferences, including ability to present concepts verbally
